During the trip you may be fortunate enough to get to taste the locally brewed beer. You may even get to eat some local delicacies - fried mice - rather tasy actually. The trip provides a glimpse into a life-style far removed from the city - here sheep are herded home for the night. The people in the area live in traditional round mud-huts like this shown here.

The Basotho love their horses - horses are an important part of the mountain tribe's culture. We are involved in funding a school in the area you will be visiting. Lesotho is one of the highest countries in the world - and in winter the landscape is often covered in snow. This woman is dressed in the tradional manner for the area - a good warm blanket.
