Getting here is easy!

The Baz Bus stops right at our doorstep. You don't have to get a big ticket - from Johannesburg or Durban the trip is R210. The bus travels from Johannesburg every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. It departs from Durban every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

You can also catch one of the mainline busses to Harrismith any day of the year. If you arrange with us beforehand, we'll pick you up for R80. The cost of pickups after 17h30 will need to be negotiated with us.

Then there's also that South African institution, the minibus taxi. They stop right at our door as well. If you're not sure when, where or how to catch a minibus taxi, give us a ring. You can go anywhere in Africa by minibus. Possibly the world.

If you have your own light aircraft, we also have a 1km landing strip. The co-ordinates are:

• S 28° 38" 236'
• E 29° 08" 617'

Directions from the South (approx. 3hrs travel from Durban)

• Take the N3 highway heading North.
• Go past the town of Estcourt (on the N3).
• Turn off to the left at the sign for the R74.
• Stay on the R74 through Winterton and Bergville.
• 21km after Bergville you will the "Amphitheatre Lodge" sign on the left..

Directions from the North (approx. 3hrs travel from Johannesburg)

• Take the N3 heading South.
• Travel into Natal down Van Reenen's Pass.
• After the Tugela Toll take the R616 turnoff.
• Head towards Bergville by crossing the N3 on the R616.
• At Bergville turn right onto the R74.
• 21km after Bergville you will the"Amphitheatre Lodge" sign on the left.
• Turn in at our sign!
